Question 1

What is Tripcove?

Accepted Answer

Tripcove is a shared planning space for group trips. Your group collects ideas, votes on what to do, and turns the results into one day-by-day plan, with bookings and shared costs alongside.

Question 2

Do my friends need an account or an app?

Accepted Answer

No. You share one private link, and people join with just their name. It works in any phone or computer browser, so there's nothing to download.

Question 3

Can we start before we've picked dates or a destination?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Start with just a name. Choose “not sure yet” for the dates or the place, and the group can suggest options and vote on them later.

Question 4

How does group voting work?

Accepted Answer

Anyone can start a vote with a question, a few options and a deadline. Everyone picks their answer, and the winner can be added to the plan on the day and time you choose.

Question 5

Can our group split up for different activities?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any plan item can be for everyone, a smaller group, or one person. The day view shows side-by-side activities, and each person can see just their own schedule.

Question 6

How are shared costs split?

Accepted Answer

Log who paid and who it was for, in any currency. Tripcove works out who owes whom. It doesn't move money: you settle up your usual way and mark it as settled.

Question 7

Can I save links from TikTok, Instagram or Google Maps?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paste any link and it becomes an idea card with a preview. You can name it, pick a category and suggest a day, time and place, or sort it later.

Question 8

Is my trip private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Trips are private by default and never listed or searchable. Only people with your trip's private link can join, and you can turn the link off or make a new one at any time.

Question 9

Where are my files and tickets stored?

Accepted Answer

In your own Google Drive. When you attach a ticket, receipt or document, Tripcove saves only a link to it, and you choose who can open it: people on the trip, anyone with the link, or just you.

Question 10

How do I find my trip again if I lose the link?

Accepted Answer

Use “My trips” on the homepage. Trips you've opened on that device are listed there, or you can enter your email to get a link to all your trips.
